Taizhou lies in the center of Jiangsu Province, lower reaches of the Huaihe River. It is bordered by Yangzhou to the west, and separated from Suzhou and Wuxi by the Yangtze River in the south. Taizhou is an important industrial and trade port city in China's Yangtze River Delta.
